Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 17, 2026
- You forward a suspicious message; Rosie tells you if it looks like a scam.
- To check it, the message is sent to our AI provider. They don’t use it to train their models.
- We keep the forwarded message itself for up to 30 days so it shows in your dashboard, then we permanently delete it. We keep Rosie’s short assessment after that.
- We never see or store your card number — Stripe handles payments.
- We don’t sell your personal information.
- Text STOP to a Rosie message to stop texts; email us to delete your data.
1. Who this covers
This Privacy Policy explains how ClickThere Marketing, LLC (“RosieChecks,” “Rosie,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use rosiechecks.com and the Rosie service (the “Service”). It applies to two kinds of people:
- Account owners — the person who signs up, manages the dashboard, and pays (often an adult child).
- Protected people — the person whose messages are checked (often a parent). They forward messages to Rosie but don’t need an account.
If you set up Rosie for someone else, please make sure they know their messages will be reviewed by Rosie and handled as described here.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: the account owner’s name and email address.
- Protected-person details: a first name (used so Rosie can reply warmly), and a contact identifier — a unique private Rosie email address and/or a mobile phone number — used to recognize forwarded messages.
- Forwarded content: the text messages, emails, and screenshots forwarded to Rosie, and anything contained within them.
- Messages to support: anything you email us.
Information created by using Rosie
- Assessments: Rosie’s result for each forwarded message — a risk level, a category, her plain-language reply, and supporting notes shown in your dashboard.
- Account & billing status: subscription state, trial and renewal dates, and timezone, kept in sync with our payment processor.
Information collected automatically
- Device & usage data: things like IP address, browser/user-agent, and basic activity, used to run the site, keep it secure, and measure advertising (see Cookies & advertising).
What we don’t collect
We don’t ask for or store passwords (we sign you in with an email link), and we never store your full payment-card number — that goes directly to Stripe.
3. Forwarded messages & text messages
Here’s the full path a forwarded message takes:
- The protected person forwards a message (or screenshot) to their private Rosie address or phone number.
- We match it to the right protected person and send the content to our AI provider for analysis.
- Rosie replies to the forwarder in plain language, and — if the message looks risky and the account is active — alerts the account owner.
- We store the assessment, and the original message content, so they appear in the dashboard.
- A scheduled job permanently deletes the original message content once it’s more than 30 days old. Rosie’s assessment is kept for your history.
About text messages (SMS) specifically:
- We use a messaging provider to send and receive texts. Carrier message-and-data rates may apply to the phone’s owner.
- We collect the phone number and the content of messages forwarded to Rosie, plus basic delivery information needed to send replies.
- Reply STOP to a Rosie text at any time to stop texts to that number, or HELP for help. Mobile opt-in data and consent are used only to operate Rosie’s texting and are not sold or shared for anyone else’s marketing.
4. How Rosie analyzes messages (AI)
Rosie’s assessments are produced by a third-party artificial-intelligence provider (currently Anthropic, maker of Claude). To check a message, we send its text and any screenshot to the provider’s API and receive back a structured assessment.
- Under our provider’s API terms, the content you send is not used to train their AI models.
- The provider automatically deletes the message text and Rosie’s reply from its systems within 30 days. The exception is if a message is flagged as a possible misuse of their service, or the law requires it — in those cases they may keep it longer (up to 2 years, and certain safety-classification records for up to 7 years).
- Automated analysis can be wrong. Please see the accuracy section of our Terms — Rosie is a helpful second opinion, not a guarantee.
5. How we use information
- To run the Service: recognize forwarded messages, analyze them, reply, and alert you.
- To show your dashboard history and account settings.
- To process payments, manage subscriptions, and prevent abuse or fraud.
- To respond to your support requests and send service-related notices.
- To keep the Service secure, debug problems, and improve how Rosie works.
- To measure and run advertising (see Cookies & advertising).
- To comply with the law and enforce our Terms.
6. How long we keep things
- Forwarded message content: kept up to 30 days, then permanently deleted by an automated daily job.
- Assessments (risk level, category, Rosie’s reply, supporting notes): kept as part of your dashboard history for as long as your account is active. These may summarize what was in a message even after the original content is deleted.
- Account, contact, and billing records: kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, and accounting needs.
- When you remove a protected person, we stop checking new messages for them; existing history may remain until the account is deleted.
- You can ask us to delete your data sooner — see your rights.
7. Who we share with
We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run Rosie, and only for that purpose:
- Anthropic — AI analysis of forwarded messages.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Cloudflare — hosting, the database, and email/SMS routing.
- Email & SMS delivery providers — to send Rosie’s replies and alerts.
- Meta — advertising measurement (see below).
- Google and Microsoft — website analytics (see below).
We may also disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), in which case we’ll keep protecting your information under terms consistent with this policy.
8. Cookies & advertising
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to run the site. We also use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Meta’s Conversions API to measure the performance of our advertising. This may involve sharing limited information — such as a hashed identifier, IP address, browser/user-agent, and the fact that you signed up or subscribed — with Meta. Under some U.S. state privacy laws this counts as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We also use website-analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site so we can make it better: Google Analytics, which measures page views and where visitors come from, and Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors interact with pages — such as clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement — and turns that into heatmaps and session replays. These tools set cookies and may receive your IP address and device and browser information. We use them only to measure and improve the site — not to identify you personally — and we don’t sell this information. Clarity runs only on our public pages; we deliberately turn it off once you sign in, so it never records your dashboard or the messages in it.
You can limit this by using your browser’s privacy controls, opting out through tools like the Digital Advertising Alliance, and adjusting your ad settings on Meta. Where required, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control).
9. Your choices & rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct it if it’s wrong;
- delete it;
- opt out of the “sharing” of data for targeted advertising; and
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email rosie@rosiechecks.com. We’ll verify your request (for example, by confirming you control the account email) and respond as the law requires. You can also: remove a protected person or cancel from your dashboard, reply STOP to stop texts, and unsubscribe from non-essential emails. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA; residents of Texas (under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act) and other states may have similar rights under their own laws.
10. How we protect information
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and short retention of message content to reduce risk. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security — but we work to protect your information and to limit how much we keep. The best protection of all is the rule Rosie repeats: never send money, codes, passwords, or personal details based on a message alone.
11. Children & older adults
Rosie is for adults. The Service isn’t directed to children under 13, and account owners must be 18 or older. Because Rosie is often used to protect older adults, we deliberately keep what we store to a minimum and delete forwarded message content on a short schedule.
12. Where your data is handled
The Service is operated from the United States, and information is processed and stored there and in other countries where our providers operate. If you use Rosie from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be handled in the U.S. under this policy.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
14. How to reach us
