Every day, someone's mom gets a text about a package that was never coming, and someone's dad gets a call from a "grandchild" in trouble. We built Rosie so the people we love have someone kind to ask — before they tap the link, before they send the money, before they feel foolish for almost believing it.
The short version
It usually starts with a phone call. A parent, a little embarrassed, asking: "Is this real?" — about a text, an email, a voicemail that felt off. By the time that call happens, they've often already been staring at the message for ten minutes, alone, trying to decide. And sometimes the call comes after, when the money is already gone.
Scams aimed at older adults have gotten frighteningly good. They're personal, urgent, and designed to make a careful person panic. The advice we usually give — "just ignore anything suspicious" — asks our parents to be a fraud expert on their own, every single time. That isn't fair, and it doesn't work.
So we made the thing we wished our own families had: a patient helper who's always awake, never judges, and answers in plain words. Rosie never scolds and never makes anyone feel foolish for asking. Checking is the smart move — and she says so, every time.
A helper, not surveillance
Rosie isn't a tracker or a babysitter. She only ever sees the messages your parent chooses to forward — nothing else on their phone, ever.
Meet people where they are
No app, no account for them to manage, no learning curve. If they can forward a text, they can use Rosie. That's the whole point.
Plain, kind words
Not "phishing" and "credential harvesting." Just "that's a scam, please don't tap it" — the way a thoughtful relative would actually explain it.
Careful with their data
We keep forwarded messages only as long as we need to do the job, then let them go. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
Honest about our limits
Rosie is a sharp second opinion, not a guarantee. We say so plainly, and we'll always tell you to verify anything that really matters.
